Luggage Infinity Plus

Travel Cover offers “Luggage Infinity” which is a Lost or Delayed Luggage Tracking services to its members whereby the Company tracks and helps recover the checked-in luggage of the member which has been handed over to the Airline/Common Carrier, which the member has travelled on, and which has been lost or misdirected unintentionally by the Airline/Common Carrier to another location and this has been reported by the Member as Lost or Delayed Luggage to the Company. The Company then agrees subject to verification of details with the travelled airlines baggage tracking department to compensate the Member if such a Luggage Loss or Misdirection by the Airline/Common Carrier results in the Member not receiving their Luggage for a defined period of time from the time of their arrival at their scheduled destination.

The defined period with regards to this Membership Service Agreement shall be Ninety Hours (90 hours) from the time of the flight/common carrier’s arrival at their destination and subject to the Luggage not arriving with the scheduled flight/common carrier. The Company’s Liability is limited to two (2) Lost / Delayed pieces of Luggage for each passenger.

(It is to be noted that the traveller cannot buy the Travel Insurance policy on a stand alone basis…One is eligible for a Travel Insurance Coverage unless and until he/she purchases Travel Cover’s Luggage Infinity Plus, which is a comprehensive Luggage Tracking plan and has an insurance cover offered complimentary with it…please read the Benefit coverages table below in this context:

Key Features for Luggage Tracking under Luggage Infinity Plus

  • Travel Cover will track and expedite the return of your lost/delayed Checked In Luggage for 90 hours from your flight arrival
  • Travel Cover is in partnership with a Worldwide Assistance Partner, through whose system the tracking is done on a real time basis and the traveller will receive automatic email/sms updates every time there is any change to the status of lost/delayed luggage.
  • Coverage is upto two bags per traveller…the indemnity of between $350 and $1,400 per bag for a single membership fees paid.
  • The product must be purchased prior to travelling out of India and is offered on a standalone basis or along with travel insurance
  • Lost/Delayed Luggagereporting must be filed with the respective airlineprior to reporting your lost/delayed luggage to Travel Cover. PIR is a must to file the claim
  • Lost/Delayed Luggage must be reported to us within 24 hours of your flight arrival.
  • Claims settled in 7 working days subject to submission of all claims documentation.
  • Coverage is over and above any travel insurance policy the passenger may have.
  • The coverage under this product is per traveller, per airline PNR, irrespective of the number of sectors of travel across all airlines and airports in the world, outside India
  • Only Scan Copy of documents including Airline PIR to be submitted while filing a claim. Luggage Content list not needed.
  • Claim is settled if luggage not retrieved/recovered within 90 hours. Settlement also done if luggage returned to passenger, but after the waiting period of 90 hours
  • Automated email and SMS updates provided to the passenger at regular intervals upto the waiting period of 90 hours on the registered contact details providing at the time of availing the membership.
