Check in Luggage/Baggage refers to the luggage that is handed over to the common carrier (airlines/cruise/rail) for its transportation from the home country to the destination country and back. It becomes the property of the common carrier while in its custody.
Luggage Plan includes Luggage tracking service offered by Travel Cover to help retrieve checked in Luggage in the custody of the common carrier. If the luggage has not been received by the passenger upto a designated period in time, Travel Cover offers a compensation in lieu of the incidental expenses incurred by the passenger during this period. This fixed period of time shall be Ninety Hours (90 hours) from the time of the passenger’s flight landing, as declared by the Airlines in its flight records.
Travel Cover with the help of its service partners will try to track the missing checked in luggage at the destination airport or any other airport across the world, to where the luggage could have wrongly been dispatched. The member needs to report this loss to Travel Cover providing the supporting documents including PIR / BIR report provided by the carrier at its destination.
Travel Cover offers four options of compensation to choose from while booking an assistance package. Compensation limits are available at $350, $700, $1050 and $1400 per piece of luggage.

First thing you need to do is go to the Luggage Claims counter / office at the airport and make a report of the missing Luggage and collect the PIR / BIR from the Luggage department. After receiving the PIR / BIR report immediately raise a missing luggage request to Travel Cover for them to start tracking the missing Luggage in association with its partners. Such a claim intimation can be done through your travel partner or directly on Travel Cover's website.
No, the claim becomes payable if the committed tracking period of 90 hours has lapsed.
No, you don’t have to return the compensation amount received from Travel Cover, even if the missing luggage is received after the committed tracking period.
The tracking commitment period is 90 hours from the landing time of the respective flight as declared by the airline.
Travel Cover will only pay the claim if the entire checked in luggage is missing at the destination airport/any intermediate airport. Travel Cover is not liable to settle any claim for a damaged piece of luggage or partial loss of items from the luggage, even if the tracking commitment period is over 90 hours.

For availing membership, you don’t have to submit any documents, only details of your passport, flight name, flight no and your journey start date and end date and member contact details are required. Apart from this you will need to pay the required premium.
Your two checked in pieces of luggage in the custody of the Common Carrier are covered under the membership plan.
After the online enrolment is done on the company system (by your travel partner or you directly) an auto email with membership certificate is sent to member on the registered email id. Kindly ensure to inform your travel partner to submit your email and mobile number details accurately to ensure you receive the documents directly.
Travel Cover guarantees the member to trace/track his missing Luggage upto a period of 90 hours from the time the flight lands at the destination airport. If the luggage is not delivered by the common carrier within this period, Travel Cover will compensate you upto the Compensation limit opted for, subject to the claim being registered with Travel Cover by the member along with the designated supporting documents.
It is mandatory for the member to first register the claim with the airport Luggage department and acquire the PIR / BIR report from the respective airline. Once the report is received you will have to register a claim with Travel Cover claims team number. You will need to provide your membership enrolment number and your contact details if they are different from the details mentioned on the membership certificate part from filling in completely the luggage claims form.
The document which we require is the PIR report given by the airline authority which needs to be sent to Travel Cover at the time of registration of Claim, apart from the trip related information as available on the claims form.
Once the claim is intimated to Travel Cover, a claim reference number will be generated on the system which will emailed to you on your registered email id. Travel cover will be tracking your Luggage along with its assistance partners and status related to your missed Luggage will be updated to you on the registered email id for the defined tracking period. If the tracking period is complete without the luggage being retrieved by the airline, then Travel Cover will compensate you as per the opted plan.
If Travel Cover is unable to trace or locate your luggage within the commitment time period of 90 hours a claim approval intimation email will be sent to you on your registered email id. On submission of payment details, then the compensation will be remitted to the member's ban account. The Luggage tracing details will be conveyed to you by your Travel Cover from time to time. Kindly note that if the baggage is however tracked/traced and returned to you within 90 hours (from the time of your flight landing), and you register a claim with Travel Cover, you will receive a rejection mail with the reason of rejection.
Luggage delivery receipt will be handed over to you by the Airlines which needs to be sent to Travel Cover along with your Bank details for transfer of funds, subject to the claim being admissible.
Once the claim is approved the intimation regarding approval will be sent to you on your registered email id and after receiving the required mandatory documents, Travel Cover will take 7 working days for the funds to be transfer to your bank account provided by you.
